Editorial standards
This page sets out how World Archi Design is put together: who writes it, how it handles mistakes, and where the line sits between the newsroom and the commercial desk. It describes what the title does, not what it intends to do. Everything below can be checked against any page on this site.
BYLINES
Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it. Those names are listed on the About page, with the desk each of them covers. A story reported outside a writer's usual desk carries a dateline saying where it was reported from.
DATES
Every article carries the date it was published. Lists and desk pages shorten that date so a long column stays readable; the article page shows it in full.
CORRECTIONS
Mistakes are corrected on the record rather than edited out of it. Where something factual is wrong, the article is fixed and the fix is entered in the corrections log with the date and a line saying what changed. Spelling, formatting and broken links are repaired without a log entry.
To report an error, write to editor@worldarchidesign.com with the article and what is wrong.
IMAGES
Every image carries a credit naming the photographer, or the party that supplied the picture. Where a practice, a brand or an institution provided the image, the credit says so. The title does not put its own name on work it did not shoot.
COMMERCIAL WORK
This title sells press release distribution, articles written by its studio team, video, event partnerships, awards entry and content licensing. All of it is produced by the studio team. The newsroom has no part in that work, and advertisers have no say in what the newsroom covers.
Anything paid for carries a Partner Content label on the page and in the byline, and that label stays with the piece wherever it appears. Press releases run in the Pressroom under the name of the organisation that issued them, marked as releases, and they do not enter the news desks.
Some work is declined: misleading claims, adult material, gambling, and financial promotion without a licence.
COMPETITIONS AND AWARDS
Competition and awards listings on this site are editorial and carry no charge. The group that publishes this title also runs an awards programme, and that programme appears in the listings on the same terms as every other entry.
