Set within the rural landscape of Manacor, Mallorca, Spain, Ca’n Gallineta is a residential project that reflects a sensitive dialogue between contemporary architecture and local tradition. Designed by Toni and Biel Oliver Galmés of OAM Oficina d’Arquitectura a Mallorca, with Joan Brunet Alós serving as technical architect, the project demonstrates how modern living can emerge from a deep understanding of place, climate, and inherited architectural logic.
Rhythmic colonnade frames the courtyard, blending structural clarity with Mediterranean light
Rather than approaching the site as an opportunity for formal expression, the architects positioned Ca’n Gallineta as a process of architectural continuity. The project originates from an existing rural structure, where transformation becomes an act of careful reinterpretation rather than replacement.
