Soaring above the dynamic skyline of Bayan Lepas, the Le Méridien Hotel at Penang Gateway rises as a symbol of arrival and connection. Every element of its design and placement tells a story of movement and exchange, where architecture becomes a bridge between the world of travelers and the vibrant urban life of Penang.

A Landmark of Arrival and Mobility
Developed by Rackson Hospitality under the renowned Le Méridien brand and designed by CTA Architects, the hotel is poised to redefine the first impressions of Penang. Its 36 floors will host approximately two hundred rooms and fourteen suites, including an expansive presidential suite, each space crafted to blend modern luxury with understated elegance. Situated directly opposite Penang International Airport, the hotel is linked to a shopping mall via an enclosed sky bridge and will provide direct access to the upcoming Light Rail Transit station. This seamless network ensures that arriving guests move effortlessly between air travel, retail, and leisure, making the building not just a place to stay but a central node in the region’s mobility network.

A Vertical Connector of Experiences
From its aerodynamic form inspired by the flow of wind to the aluminium-clad crown that captures sunlight, the building’s architecture embodies the spirit of travel. Elevated amenities such as a sky pool, rooftop deck, and panoramic dining areas frame sweeping views of the airport runways and surrounding coastline, turning the act of arrival or departure into a visual spectacle. Inside, spaces like the Le Méridien Hub lobby invite guests into a modern piazza where conversations, business, and cultural exchange unfold naturally.
