Nestled in the undulating landscape of Australia’s South Coast, Plantasia by YSG Studio is less a residence and more a living diorama—a space where bold eccentricity meets quiet refuge. Designed as a “choose-your-own-adventure” home, Plantasia seamlessly weaves nostalgia, surrealism, and sensory richness, creating an interior that feels both deeply personal and slightly otherworldly.
A bold red-marble kitchen island transforms daily life into Plantasia’s vibrant gathering heart
From the moment you step inside, Plantasia offers an immersive journey. The entrance opens into a sequence of spaces brimming with eclectic detail: frilled Victorian lampshades rendered in daring hues, checkerboard tiles mingling with hand-painted botanical wallpaper, and unexpected pops of brass and onyx punctuating soft linen and cork. YSG’s design language celebrates contrast - juxtaposing finely tailored elements with raw, organic textures to strike a balance between visual intrigue and livable warmth.

The home’s palette and materiality create an almost theatrical interplay. Citrus groves outside spill their influence indoors through fresh scents and vivid yellows, while layers of texture—washed linens, rattan, velvet, Rosso Asiago marble—form a tactile narrative that engages both body and mind.
