For Pierre Hermé Paris, pastry has never been confined to taste alone. It is a language of emotion, a study in structure, and a form of art that transcends the plate. In its Singapore flagship at Resorts World Sentosa, this philosophy is translated into space - an immersive environment where flavor, design, and atmosphere converge into a singular experience.
Designed by CCD Singapore, the boutique resists the temptation of replication. Instead of echoing its Parisian origins, it embraces its Southeast Asian context, weaving together the refinement of French haute pâtisserie with the lush vitality of Singapore’s tropical identity. The result is not a transplant, but a transformation - a spatial dialogue between elegance and exuberance.
From the outset, the entrance frames this narrative. A hybrid of Parisian café culture and tropical garden unfolds, where sculptural macarons glisten among verdant greenery. These playful installations evoke both confection and nature, blurring boundaries between the organic and the crafted. It is a poetic threshold that invites visitors into a world where sweetness is both seen and felt.

Macarons reimagined as jewel-like objects, nestled within foliage like sweet fruits in a tropical garden
Inside, the design speaks in contrasts. Polished surfaces meet raw textures; bold colors are softened by natural materials. This interplay mirrors Hermé’s own creations - precise yet daring, structured yet sensorial. The space unfolds fluidly, guided by gentle curves that echo the rounded geometry of pastries themselves. Along a sweeping counter, desserts are presented with near-museum precision, while a central circular display elevates the brand’s icons - macarons, chocolates, and signature cakes - into objects of desire.

At the heart of the space, a sculptural island celebrates Pierre Hermé’s icons as edible works of art
Yet beyond display, the store is choreographed as an experience. Movement through the space feels intentional, almost theatrical. From selecting a pastry to savoring it, each moment is staged as part of a larger narrative. Staff, guests, and desserts alike become performers within this carefully composed setting.

Framed like a proscenium, the space turns everyday rituals into theatre where movement, light, and interaction compose a seamless performance of taste and design
Materiality plays a quiet but essential role. Warm wood tones ground the interior, offering a sense of calm that balances the vibrancy of the desserts. Soft lighting enhances this atmosphere, casting a gentle glow that heightens color and texture. The tactile contrast between the rawness of wood and the delicacy of pastry introduces a subtle tension that enriches the sensory experience.

Sustainability is also woven into the design ethos. Cloth packaging replaces conventional materials, merging eco-conscious practice with refined aesthetics. This gesture reflects a broader cultural sensitivity, bridging Eastern traditions of wrapping and gifting with Western confectionery craftsmanship.
Upstairs, the narrative expands. The second floor introduces a more relaxed yet equally immersive environment, where savory and sweet coexist under a unified philosophy: nourishment and pleasure, function and indulgence. A pioneering ice cream and bubble tea bar captures this duality, blending French technique with Asian playfulness in a format that feels both innovative and familiar.
The dining area responds intuitively to Singapore’s climate. Custom rattan furnishings, with their airy weaves and organic curves, evoke the sensation of a tropical breeze. The palette - soft pinks, creamy whites, and muted beiges - draws inspiration from Hermé’s iconic Ispahan, translating its delicate balance of rose, lychee, and raspberry into spatial form.

An airy, light-filled setting where tropical ease meets refined restraint in form and palette
Here, the architecture becomes more porous. Light filters through expansive glazing, shifting throughout the day to animate the interior. Shadows drift across surfaces, transforming the space into a living canvas. On one side, a tranquil tea salon invites quiet reflection; on the other, open seating encourages convivial gatherings. Each zone offers a different rhythm, yet all are united by a shared sense of ease.

Relaxed seating unfolds toward lush surroundings, blurring the boundary between interior and nature
Ultimately, light acts as the final storyteller. Intertwining with material and color, it elevates the everyday into the experiential. The pastries glow, the textures deepen, and the entire space seems to breathe in response to time and movement.
More than a flagship, this is a curated world where boundaries dissolve between gastronomy and design, between object and environment. At Pierre Hermé Paris Singapore, pleasure is not simply an outcome; it is the guiding principle. Visitors are not just customers, but participants in a journey that unfolds through taste, touch, sight, and space.
Here, indulgence becomes immersive, and every detail, no matter how small, contributes to a larger, more poetic whole: a place where flavor is no longer confined to the palate, but expanded into architecture itself.
