The Lujiatan Wetland Park Commercial Service Center by MUDA-Architects stands quietly in Meishan, Sichuan, yet its presence resonates far beyond its site. Conceived as a place where people encounter both the vitality of nature and the subtle artistry of built form, the project reflects a contemporary interpretation of ecological architecture in China. The center functions as both a community hub and a tourism anchor for the wetland park, merging cultural infrastructure with environmental mindfulness.
The Service Center emerges at golden hour where spiraling pathways dissolve into water and sky
The architects envisioned the building as a bridge between two worlds: one of commerce and human activity, and another of ecological restoration. The site sits along the water’s edge, where the rhythm of the tides informs the shape and texture of the land. MUDA-Architects responded with a design that does not dominate the landscape but converses with it. The low, sweeping volume seems to hover above the water, its curving roofline mimicking the soft undulations of the terrain.

Rather than a rigid structure, the Service Center reads as an extension of the wetland itself.
