Noorth Redefines Bathroom Design with TOUCH: A Marble Basin of Pure Form and Expressive Materiality

Noorth’s TOUCH, designed by Michele Marcon, reimagines the bathroom basin as a monolithic centerpiece where pure form meets expressive materiality. Available in marble or in combinations of lacquer, clay, and oak with Milltek Solid, TOUCH blends sculptural presence with refined functionality. With modular sizes, soft-close drawers, and integrated LED mirrors, it embodies Noorth’s vision of balance, proportion, and tactile authenticity - transforming the bathroom into a space of coherence and contemporary elegance.

Noorth has once again elevated the language of bathroom design with TOUCH, a marble basin that distills form and material into their purest expression. Designed by Michele Marcon, the project embraces a philosophy of balance, coherence, and refined functionality - transforming the bathroom into a space where materiality itself becomes the narrative.

A Monolithic Centerpiece

At first glance, TOUCH is striking in its compact yet monumental presence. With its sharp lines, solid volumes, and precisely carved surfaces, the basin appears as a monolithic sculpture that anchors the bathroom environment. More than a functional fixture, it is a piece of architectural design, where geometry enters into quiet dialogue with the surrounding space.

The integration of recessed LED mirrors enhances this sculptural quality, creating a subtle composition where light, reflection, and material converge. Every detail, from the clean edges to the smooth push-pull drawers, has been considered to serve both function and form, reinforcing the clarity of Marcon’s vision.

Refined Functionality and Versatility

Beyond its sculptural beauty, TOUCH is designed with contemporary living in mind. It is available in two main versions, each offered in three widths (41, 64, and 100 cm), all featuring push-pull soft-close drawers. This thoughtful modularity ensures adaptability across different bathroom scales, from intimate private spaces to expansive master suites.

Material Expressions

The richness of TOUCH lies in its dialogue between material authenticity and expressive surface treatment.

  1. Version One: Marble as Pure Form
  2. The first version is carved from solid blocks of marble, each finished in a matte texture that highlights the stone’s density and natural veining. Options include Carrara, Arabescato, Siberia, Graphite, Petit Granit, and Nero Marquina. These variations transform the basin into a tactile and visual statement, where timeless stone meets cutting-edge precision.
  3. Version Two: Contrasts of Materiality
  4. The second version opens up a broader palette of possibilities. Fronts are available in 22 matte lacquered colors, six clay tones, and nine oak finishes (natural or thermally treated). In this configuration, the basin itself is crafted from Milltek Solid in matte white, chosen for its uniformity, durability, and ability to harmonize with diverse material combinations. This approach allows TOUCH to adapt seamlessly to different design narratives, from minimalist purity to rich textural contrasts.

A Narrative of Contemporary Living

With TOUCH, Noorth continues its ongoing exploration of the bathroom as an architectural and experiential environment. The basin is not just a utilitarian object - it is a statement of measured design, tactile richness, and material integrity. Every choice, from the precision of the stone carving to the soft tactile finishes, reflects a commitment to coherence and proportion, values central to Noorth’s design ethos.

In a world where the bathroom has become a place for personal rituals, reflection, and retreat, TOUCH redefines the role of the basin. It stands as a testament to the idea that luxury resides not in excess, but in purity, authenticity, and thoughtful design.
